Since our venue at St. Francis Springs Prayer Center only allows us roughly sixteen rooms for our guests in the Center building, it is necessary to ask our participants choosing to stay there to share a room. The rooms are very comfortable and each has a private bath. Those wanting to stay elsewhere will enjoy a special commuter rate. We have a special arrangement with The Baymont Inn and Suites, Eden, NC (about a 19 minutes drive from the Center) for a block of twenty rooms. There, of course, you may stay with a roommate or in a private room.
If you want to take advantage of the rooms we have set aside there, please be sure to identify yourself by letting them know you are registered for the conference and therefore qualify for one of the rooms in the "Journey Group Block -- [include Your name]." After making your reservation, please send us an email with "Baymont Inn Journey 2014" in the header to let us know and include the names of any participants staying with you. This will allow us to give you important information and help us keep inventory of our available rooms.
To help you find a roommate, if you need one, we have created this Room-Share Forum. There you can share just a little about yourself and what you are looking for in a roommate. The blog is designed to allow folk seeking a roommate to politely and intelligently consider rooming together. You can access each other via email and then, more privately, exchange phone numbers to chat and see if is a mutually good fit. In any case, it will give you a chance to make a new friend at the conference.
If you both are flying in, and choose to stay at the Baymont, the Ride-share Forum should help you with your transport needs. Please make travel plans that allow you to be present for the entire conference.
